Cast Iron Dutch Oven
Dutch oven food is the best! We've tried cobbler (cherry, mixed berry, peach), chicken pot pie (YUMMM!), pizza, mountain man breakfast, chicken alfredo, chocolate chip cookie, and more. It's perfect for social outings and camping.
What we love:

- Great for teaching the kids how to cook without modern conveniences
We spend a lot of time camping and hanging out in the outdoors. Cast iron Dutch ovens are known for making some of the most delicious meals, from slow roasted meats to your favorite fruit cobbler. We bought 2 so we could cook dinner and dessert at the same time. :)
Recommendations:
- season your dutch oven before using, even if it comes 'seasoned' (youtube shows you how)
- while the brand of briquets doesn't really matter, the quantity does - research how many to use for the meal you plan to cook
- do a quick internet search for recipes - here are some we love:
- chicken pot pie
- chicken alfredo
- German pancakes
- mountain man breakfast
- cobbler (any)
