Coleman ComfortSmart Cot
My son wanted to get his Eagle Scout before he turned 13 - Whew! As Scout Master I was committed to 20 campouts in 26 months. Don't get me wrong, I love camping, but on car campouts this cot was a lifesaver!
Paired with the Coleman dome tent we were protected and comfortable night after night.
What we love:
- Long enough - I'm 6'4 and fit fine
- Comfortable - a big step up from ground pads
- Quick set up
When you get older there's something about sleeping on the ground that loses its appeal. A good night's sleep on a campout is as important as anything else. A bad nights sleep means for long days.
The Coleman cot is easy to set up and comfortable.
Recommendations:
- Wear wool socks when camping
- Wear a stocking cap
- Bring a better sleeping bag than you think you'll need
- Consider wearing dry ski bibs, even in the Spring and Fall
